Captain BarrySadler AFRIN
Captain Barry Sadler is the co founder and co-owner of Captain Barry Sadler Maritime Training and Consultancy. He currentlyworks from classrooms in the Warsash Academy campus on Newton Road and shortly will have use of a School in the New Forest.
Barry is a Master Mariner, a serving first class, assessing Southampton Pilot,. In addition, he is a qualified teacher, an MCA EDH examiner, and the Primary lecturer of MCA Orals prep lecturer at Warsash Superyacht Academy.
He has over 15 years experience of teaching commercial and yacht MCA Orals Prep to all officer, cadet and superyacht deck disciplines. and in recognition of his high level of professional achievement The Royal Institute of Navigation council elected him as an Associate Fellow of the Institute.
His combination of rigorous academic knowledge and practical skills ensures Barry remains current with all ship aspects of onboard operational techniques as well as the latest maritime developments and notable research.
Barry is passionate about Maritime education and is currently finishing is MSc in Merchant Shipping Operations before hoping to undertake a PHD.
In his spare time he is the volunteer pilot for the Jubilee Sailing Trust, and is the liaison pilot for Cowes week.
Stephanie is the co founder , co-owner and Director of Barry Sadler Maritime Training and Consultancy. Stephanie’s working backgroundhas been diverse; she has worked in Accident and Emergency, on cruise ships, in Research and Audit and Project Management before finally undertaking her business degree. Stephanie now focuses on the day-to-day running of the business and education development. Most importantly,Stephanie is your point of contact for any information on course availability, course information and MCA exams.
Stephanie is equally passionate about education and completely understands the challenges of studying and working at the same time.
Queen Boudicca (Boo) is the company mascot and security. She keeps both Barry and Stephanie in check and enjoys walking out into the forest with their horses, playing with their four cats, and chasing any deer, badgers or squirrels that mistakenly visit the garden!
